The Kennard-Dale girls’ lacrosse team continues to motor on with a 14-0 overall record, and a 10-0 mark in YAIAA Division I play. The team parlayed that into a No. 1 ranking in District 3 this past week.

The Rams have grabbed three big wins since Tuesday. The first came in a back-and-forth affair against their rival York Catholic, a contest in which the Rams won 16-14. The second was a 24-5 victory over Eastern York while Kennard-Dale wrapped up its week by knocking off Conestoga Valley, 25-3, on Friday evening.

The success is nothing new for Kennard-Dale. The team has an outstanding track record, losing just one YAIAA game during the past six years – that came last year, in the league title game against the Irish. Rams senior Morgan Day is also in the midst of some remarkable career accomplishments. With 19 goals scored this past week, Day sits just 15 goals away from tying the PIAA All-Time mark of 430, set by West Chester Henderson’s Katie O’Donnell in 2014. The national record is 459, held by Megan Shortt of North Carolina.

We shall see just how far the Rams can go this year, and what Day can accomplish from a personal standpoint as well.

With that, vote in this week’s YAIAA Athlete of the Week poll:
